Let’s get f*****d up! Let’s responsibly enjoy drinks with heavy alcohol contents responsibly! And what’s on the menu today? The caipirinha!

The caipirinha is the national drink of Brazil and tantalizes the taste buds with sugar, lemon and cachaça, the super strong sugar cane liquor found here. You haven’t lived until you’ve found yourself on your butt from a few hours at a barzinho with friends! In fact, it was the drink of choice for the inter-cultural dialogue I had with my friend about a queer label I had been curious about. It’ll have you on your ass after a few if your bartender is heavy-handed.

How to make caipirinha

  1. Gather lime, ice, sugar, and cachaça (sugar cane liquor) [OR vodka].
  2. Cut half a lime (or more, depending on your taste) into wedges and then pour two tablespoons (more/less again, depending) onto them. Crush and mix them together.
  3. Add ice cubes to the mixture and pour in the liquor.
  4. Shake it like a Polaroid picture.
  5. Enjoy.
