If Twitter Activism is Ineffective, Then Why Do Big Brands Tweet?

Activism that uses Twitter as a medium (commonly known as Twitter activism) has been called useless and ineffective by those with mainstream platforms depending on the day. It wasn’t so useless during #ArabSpring but it’s weirdly useless when #SolidarityIsForWhiteWomen.

I don’t believe it’s useless. On PLENTY of occasions, it has shown itself to be versatile and awesome. It’s a tool in the arsenal of activism and Millennials have wielded it amazingly.
