Increasingly, I’ve been drinking more and more tea with less and less sugar. Anyone who knows me knows that I typically have sugar with sides of tea or coffee. But recently, sugar has been almost completely lacking in my diet. Seriously.
Upon graduating, I’ve been living at home in Atlanta. I was addicted to coffee and the sugar that came with it. Dearest grandmother, my hero, had done away entirely with processed white sugar. She didnt yield and I went crazy with graduate caffine withdrawal syndrome. So I had taken to large lumps of brown sugar with my hazelnut joe every day few hours.
For anyone unaware, college forces those who are not robots to remain awake for ungodly hours researching and writing. To go from rigorous scholarship to couch studies 101 and being hopped up on java…… Shiver!
At any rate, white sugar with hazelnut cupaccino turned into brown sugar with hazelnut coffee. Brown sugar with hazelnut coffee turned into peach tea with no sugar.
Without intending to, I’ve gone and given up processed sugar, and it seems to be leading to a new lifestyle all together. Follow me on twitter to stay abreast of updates!
No More Processed Sugar?
